The Foundation «Defenders of the Fatherland» started its work on June 1, 2023. Not a single problem of the participants of the special operation and their families will remain without attention. Our main task is to provide care and attention to every member of the SVO, their family members.

As human rights defenders, we are as open and public as possible. As a rule, my staff and I are attended by people with troubles, problems, tired of going to offices. That’s why I have weekly meetings with citizens.

Some communications received by the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan cannot be resolved in the short term and require joint systematic work to find solutions to problematic issues.

Today in Kazan «hotline» on education issues worked during the day. Tatarstans applied for admission to kindergartens, schools, secondary and higher educational institutions. The questions of the Tatarstan residents were answered by the women deputies of the «Merkhaemet - Mercy» association, representatives of the relevant ministries and departments.

Today, before the start of the new school year, we met in a traditional August meeting in the Pestrecha district, where we summed up the results of the last academic year, identified priorities for activities and tasks for the future.

Discussion of problematic issues and available appeals is always more effective in direct contact with people, «on the spot».

Since 4 August 2023, the Code of Administrative Procedure of the Russian Federation has been amended to ensure full and effective judicial protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens and organizations in the sphere of administrative and other public legal relations, as well as provisions aimed at expediting judicial protection in relevant cases.

Rustem Nizamiyev, Head of the Department of the Office of the Commissioner, held a regular educational seminar at the Higher School of State and Municipal Administration of the KFU, where all present were acquainted with the procedure of work in the GIS «People’s Control».

The institution of Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to youth in its work. The main areas of our work are legal education, provision of free legal assistance, development of their competencies, implementation of joint projects and consideration of appeals of young people on issues of concern to them.

A joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Coordination Council on the implementation of the pilot project «Effective Region» in the Republic of Tatarstan took place today in the House of Government. All municipal areas were connected to the meeting via videoconference.
