Today I visited a recently opened boarding house in Rybnaya Sloboda. The institution provides rehabilitation and care for elderly people who require social and medical assistance.
A meeting was held on site with representatives of the institution, the chief physician of the Rybno-Slobodskaya Central Regional Hospital and employees of the Executive Committee of the Rybno-Slobodsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan. We discussed issues of providing social and medical assistance to residents of the boarding house, how the work is organized, what difficulties there are, where additional attention is needed.
After the meeting, together with representatives of a private boarding house, we visited the Kornoukhovsky boarding house for the elderly and disabled. We got acquainted with the organization of the institution's work in order to show colleagues how the system of care and support for elderly people can and should be structured.
I believe it is important that a person who ends up in an inpatient care institution feels safe and cared for - both from a medical point of view and in everyday life.
