A huge layer of work of the Ombudsman of Tatarstan is related to interagency cooperation. At the enlarged meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, we concluded two agreements on cooperation between the Office and the Ombudsman:

As the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin noted in his Address to the Federal Assembly in February 2023, “it is our duty to support families who have lost loved ones. The family of each participant of a special military operation should be in the zone of constant attention, surrounded by care and honor”.  

“Serious challenges we have faced have influenced all spheres of our life, made adjustments in the work of state bodies, including human rights activities,” - these words opened the extended meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman, at which we presented a draft report ‘On the activities of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023’, and set tasks for work in 2024.
