Issues of adaptation of international students were discussed today in one of the academic buildings of KNITU-KAI Adaptation of international students includes learning a new culture, mastering the language, establishing social ties, getting used to academic requirements and standards, as well as overcoming cultural differences and stress associated with moving to another country.  

The social service system is one of the most dynamic in the social sphere. Its level is the most important criterion and characteristic of modern society.  

Youth initiatives are an opportunity for young people to try to make a difference in their hometown, country or around the world.  

Owners of plots of land located in gardening non-commercial partnerships (NCPs) will be able to become participants in the social gasification programme. A resolution to this effect was signed by the Government of the Russian Federation on April 16, 2024.  

Foreign students of Kazan Federal University from Turkmenistan met with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan  

The Commissioner held a meeting with the 1st year students of the Kazan branch of the “Russian State University of Justice” and told them about our multifaceted activities  

There are 18,142 foreign students studying in Kazan alone. A significant part of them are from Turkmenistan (5642 students), China (2446), Uzbekistan (1947), Iran (1738), Kazakhstan (1097), India (990), Tajikistan (811).  

Held a Day of Legal Assistance to Convicts in FGI PC-3 of the FGPS of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of invited specialists from various departments of the republic. It seems that inmates come to us with the same questions, but this is only at first glance. Each question presented opens up from a new side, which could have been hidden before, not so obvious.  

Today, another lecture on HIV prevention was held in FGI PC-19 of the Federal Penitentiary Institution of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. Lectures, discussions with psychologists, doctors and lawyers help inmates to get the necessary information and support. Such events help to raise awareness among inmates about the importance of HIV prevention and contribute to the preservation of their health. The work of psychologists also plays an important role in maintaining the psychological well-being of inmates in prison. The institution was visited by Gulia Balafendieva, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council at the Penitentiary Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, Public Assistant of the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, and the team of the project “HIV Prevention in Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from citizen Sh. in the interests of his son, who lives in Rybno-Slobodsky district, about disagreement with the accrued fee for the utility service for solid waste management.
