Activities to prevent HIV infection in correctional institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan continue
Today, another lecture on HIV prevention was held in FGI PC-19 of the Federal Penitentiary Institution of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. Lectures, discussions with psychologists, doctors and lawyers help inmates to get the necessary information and support.
Such events help to raise awareness among inmates about the importance of HIV prevention and contribute to the preservation of their health. The work of psychologists also plays an important role in maintaining the psychological well-being of inmates in prison. The institution was visited by Gulia Balafendieva, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council at the Penitentiary Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, Public Assistant of the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, and the team of the project “HIV Prevention in Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
