Welcome to Tatarstan dear students!
Only in Kazan 18,142 foreign students are studying at universities. Most of them are from Turkmenistan (5642 students), China (2446), Uzbekistan (1947), Iran (1738), Kazakhstan (1097), India (990), Tajikistan (811).
Adaptation in a new country is probably the most difficult thing for international students. This problem is multidimensional. It includes knowledge of the language, peculiarities of Russian culture and world outlook. Most of the students' problems arise due to the lack of knowledge about Russian legislation, their rights and freedoms, and ways to protect them. In this regard, today we have launched a new project - Legal Aid Days for international students.
We organized the first human rights event for students of Kazan Medical University. It was nice to see the high interest on the part of the students! One of the students immediately contacted us via social media to solve his problem, and of course, we will definitely take his issue into work.

I would like to note that you, dear students, have the opportunity to contact us on any problematic or worrying issues. Also, for students who have not yet mastered the basic Russian language program and who have difficulties in speaking Russian, the staff of my Office will provide assistance in translating from English, which is spoken by more than half of the foreign students studying in Kazan. We will be conducting such activities in all universities.
