The Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya togethet with the colleague from the Office of the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation - the head of the department for the protection of political rights Natalia Zmeu - 13th of September, in the voting day, conducted the monitoring of compliance with legislation on the protection of citizens' electoral rights.
Representatives of both Offices were included into the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior Affairs to explore the organization responsible for ensuring law and order and public safety in the elections. The monitoring of incoming messages to the hotline were organized.
Sariya Saburskaya, Natalia Zmeu together with public assistants monitored the compliance of the electoral rights of citizens, visited polls of Zelenodolsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Chostopol and several polls in Kazan, where the monitoring over the voting process and actions of members of the voting committee.
On the visited polls all the requirements of legeslation on the protection of electoral rights of citizens were respected, no violations found.
Men I., a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, contacted the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan with a request for assistance in overturning the decision banning him from entering the Russian Federation
