In the regions of Tatarstan, the observance of citizens' rights in temporary detention facilities was checked
Azat Khusaenov and Albina Alekseeva, leading consultants of the Department for the Restoration of Citizens' Rights of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, together with a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited temporary detention facilities in Drozhzhanovsky, Buinsky, Apastovsky, Tetyushsky and Verkhneuslonsky districts of the Republic as part of field events.
During the visits, the conditions of detention of citizens, compliance with the requirements of federal legislation were checked, cells, common areas, rooms for investigative actions, as well as administrative and auxiliary facilities of the IVS were examined. Special attention is paid to the issues of sanitary conditions, catering and logistical support.
There were no complaints or statements from the detainees. According to the results of the visits, it was established that the conditions of detention comply with the requirements of current legislation. In one of the districts, due to the lack of necessity, the activities of temporary detention facilities were discontinued.
