People with mental health problems need special support and attention. It is important that every person, regardless of their health condition, feels part of society, knows that they are understood and accepted. It is especially difficult for those who, for one reason or another, are left without relatives.

Today I held a personal reception for citizens - an event that always has special meaning for us.

The Office of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from the convict L., who is serving her sentence in Federal Penitentiary Institution hospital-type penitentiary institution-7 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Chuvash Republic-Chuvashia. The applicant disagreed with the punishment imposed on her during her stay in jail-1 of the Udmurt Republic. According to the convict, the reprimand had been imposed in breach of the provisions of the legislation in force.  

In order to improve the quality of review of notifications in the State Information System of the Republic of Tatarstan “Public Control”, employees of the Office of the Ombudsman conduct daily monitoring of notifications received in the system.

Just last week, an important international event took place in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan – the BRICS summit, and for us it is more than just a political event.

Provision of medicines to citizens is the most important part of the national healthcare system and a key factor for the health and well-being of people. All citizen requests for the provision of necessary medicines are under our close attention.

Issues of alimony collection remain relevant for many families, and assistance in resolving them often requires a comprehensive approach. After all, it is not only about financial obligations, but also about the child's rights to a decent life. Each parent, whether father or mother, must be responsible for their child, and the state provides all the necessary mechanisms to protect these rights.

Dear residents of Tatarstan! I congratulate you with all my heart on Father's Day! I remember my dad: his warm hands and delicious breakfasts in the morning. A father is a support and an example for his children.

2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, and support for family values occupies an important place in our work. We pay special attention to protecting the rights of foster and guardian families, as well as children who were left without parental care against their will. During the year, we met with families, organized citizen receptions, analyzed the activities of guardianship and trusteeship authorities, as well as institutions for orphans. Particular attention was paid to families in difficult life situations.

Working with senior citizens is always a special responsibility. The older generation is actively interested in legal issues, continues to study and is at the center of public life, which inspires respect.
