A meeting was held between the Federal Ombudsman of Russia Tatyana Moskalkova and the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov

In the afternoon, we continued the conference work within the framework of the session devoted to one of the key topics - legal education of citizens. The discussion focused on active forms of dissemination of knowledge about human rights and ways of their protection, development of legal awareness of citizens, increasing the level of legal literacy

After the plenary session, the conference continued its work within the first session, devoted to the protection of the rights of socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The focus was on people with disabilities, the elderly, the homeless, orphans, people released from prison and other groups that need special attention from society and the state

The plenary session of the conference also included a ceremonial presentation of awards

Today, a conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan opened in the Kazan City Hall. The theme of the event was "Modern Trends in Human Rights Protection: Current Problems and Prospects"

Today was a busy day. Together with our colleagues - human rights commissioners from the regions of Russia and the Republic of Abkhazia - we got acquainted with the social, educational and rehabilitation institutions of Tatarstan. All the sites we visited were chosen taking into account the theme of our upcoming conference

Today, together with our colleagues, we visited the Elbeden historical reconstruction festival, which took place in the village of Alvidino in the Pestrechinsky District. This festival was not only a bright event for all of us, but also a deeply emotional reminder of the heroic pages of our history
