Today, we held a meeting on the functioning of probation centers in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Currently, there are five probation centers operating in Tatarstan. They operate under the auspices of the non-profit organization "Center for Social Rehabilitation 'Human Shelter,'" the Ikhlas-Iskrennost Assistance Association, the non-profit organization "Center for Social Assistance 'Blagoveschenie,'" the Roza Vetrov Social Rehabilitation Center, the Resocialization Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Yardem-Pomoshch National Charitable Foundation.
During the meeting, we discussed the need to develop a unified operating procedure for probation centers to ensure that support for citizens undergoing probation is provided systematically and according to clear standards. The heads of the republican centers spoke about their current work, the challenges they face, and the positive results they have achieved.
Special attention was paid to employment issues. Probation centers offer training opportunities in various educational programs. Today, it is crucial that people released from prison have a real opportunity to start anew, learn a profession, and find employment without the stigma of past mistakes.
I would like to point out that information on the locations of all probation centers is available on the website of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.
Following the meeting, systematic work in this area was planned in collaboration with the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and representatives of non-profit organizations.
