Together with ARSI Chairperson Marina Grigorieva, we held a Legal Knowledge School session for parents of children with disabilities on the topic: "Everything You Need to Know About Palliative Care".
Guzel Bashirova, Chief Pediatric Palliative Care Specialist at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan and Head of the Palliative Care Department at the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered the lecture for parents.
During the session, we discussed in detail what palliative care is, which categories of children it is indicated for, and the support measures it includes. We explained that palliative care can be provided in pre-hospital, hospital, and inpatient settings, and discussed the process for establishing and removing palliative status.
While the topic of palliative care is quite complex, much important and truly useful information was shared today. A recording of the lecture will be available via a link in the Legal Knowledge School for Children with Disabilities group.
