The quarterly results were summarized at a meeting with public assistants of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan

14 November 2025, Friday

Today, we held a meeting with public assistants of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan. We summarized the work of the past quarter and introduced new public assistants to our activities.

We discussed how we handle citizen appeals, what to do when they are received, and when appeals are considered on their merits. We also focused on the new rules for receiving appeals, which came into effect on March 30 in accordance with Federal Law No. 547 "On Amendments to the Federal Law 'On the Procedure for Considering Citizen Appeals.'" Government agencies no longer accept appeals by email - this is an important change that needs to be taken into account in our work.

The topic of protecting the rights of military personnel and their families was given special attention. Handling such appeals requires the utmost care and sensitivity, especially when it comes to providing medical assistance to our defenders. Cooperation with social coordinators of the branch of the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland" in the Republic of Tatarstan is also crucial in this regard.

We also raised the issue of protecting homeless people. Over the past five years, more than 3,000 messages on this topic have been received through the ESIS GLONASS+112. Handling such requests is always challenging and requires a special approach. We discussed the results of monitoring the activities of "workhouses" throughout the republic. Based on the analysis of incoming messages, we identified the addresses of such homes. We visited twelve addresses together with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.

We also focused on the activities of institutions for orphans and a number of pressing issues facing this sector today.

The coordinated work of community assistants is the backbone of our institute. I am counting on your involvement, responsibility, and initiative!
