Today, a joint meeting of the Committee on Law and Order and the Expert Council was held in the State Council. Deputies reviewed candidates for the election of justices of the peace, discussed the results of the State Alcohol Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan's efforts to prevent violations in the production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, as well as a bill amending the national law on free legal aid, and approved the committee's work plan for the fourth quarter of this year.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Gilmutdinov, presented the nominations for judges for the republic's judicial districts.
The head of the State Alcohol Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan, Zhaudat Akhmetkhanov, reported that 67 inspections were conducted over the past six months, seizing approximately 5,000 liters of illegal alcohol. 120 violations were recorded, compared to 201 the previous year. Furthermore, the number of unlicensed activities has increased. The agency's primary focus has shifted to prevention. Over the past six months, 1,315 warnings were issued and 59 preventive visits were conducted. The total amount of fines exceeded 10 million rubles, of which over 5.6 million were collected.
At today's committee meeting, a bill amending Article 12 of the republican law on the provision of free legal aid was also considered. According to the bill, free legal aid is now available to citizens aged 18 to 23 whose only parent or parents died during their education, as well as their representatives, when they address issues related to ensuring and protecting the rights and legal interests of these individuals.
