Creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities is one of the most important areas of our work. The questions that citizens ask often concern vital conditions for a comfortable and safe everyday life.
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal through the ESIS "GLONASS+112" system from a resident of the city of Leninogorsk, citizen R., a disabled person of group I. He asked for assistance in implementing a previously adopted decision to install a specialized booth for storing a wheelchair at the entrance to his building.
Despite the fact that the issue had already been considered at the level of the city administration and the work was supposed to be completed on June 1, 2025, the management company refused to carry out the installation.
We contacted the Executive Committee of the Leninogorsk Municipal District with a request to assist in resolving this issue. As a result of our joint work, the service organization LLC Kommunalnik installed a metal booth for storing a wheelchair on the adjacent territory of an apartment building.
