Today, a webinar on the topic: "Public initiatives and the role of non-profit organization in the social sphere" was held at the headquarters of public support of the United Russia party. I took part in the discussion and shared my experience of our work.
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan has been building systematic work with non-profit organizations for many years. Systematic cooperation has been established with human rights, charitable and other organizations - over the years, more than 100 agreements have been concluded, many joint projects have been implemented.
State support for non-profit organization, including financial support, is especially important. Comprehensive support measures are in place in Tatarstan, and thanks to participation in grant competitions, non-profit organization implement significant initiatives, such as helping the homeless, rehabilitating drug addicts, and supporting families with children with disabilities.
Together with non-profit organization, we hold joint citizen receptions, legal education events, include the Commissioner within the Expert Council, and consider incoming requests from non-profit organization to protect the rights of specific citizens.
Every year, the list of our partners among non-profit organizations grows, and our joint work covers more and more areas. Such work helps to solve specific issues and strengthens the foundations of civil society.
