As part of the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, we are meeting colleagues - commissioners for human rights from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia. Today, together we took part in the celebration of Sabantuy, which took place in the village of Mirny in Kazan.
Our guests were able to get acquainted with the original Tatar culture, centuries-old traditions of hospitality, cordiality and friendship of peoples. National farmsteads, which represented the Arsky, Alekseevsky, Buinsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Zainsky, Kukmorsky, Laishevsky, Nurlatsky, Mendeleyevsky and Rybno-Slobodsky districts, worked at the festival.
The festival included master classes, concert performances of vocal and dance groups from all over Tatarstan, sports competitions, traditional horse racing and national wrestling koresh. There was an exhibition of national costumes, a market of Tatar clothes and accessories. One of the central accents of the holiday, of course, was the national cuisine.
I would like to separately note the solemn celebration of outstanding rural workers, veteran batyrs and young wrestlers who achieved success in the buddies.
Such events help to keep our culture alive, make it close not only to us, but also to our friends from other regions and countries.
