Visited the Elbeden historical reconstruction festival

22 June 2025, Sunday

Today, together with our colleagues, we visited the Elbeden historical reconstruction festival, which took place in the village of Alvidino in the Pestrechinsky District. This festival was not only a bright event for all of us, but also a deeply emotional reminder of the heroic pages of our history. This year, the festival was dedicated to three important dates at once: the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Mikhailovich Gavrilov, Hero of the Soviet Union.

We watched a reconstruction of the 1945 Victory Parade with the participation of cadets of the Kazan Higher Tank Command Order of the Red Banner Zhukov School, as well as a military-historical reconstruction "At the Walls of Koenigsberg", telling about the heroic operation to storm the Koenigsberg fortress - an important stage on the way to the complete defeat of Nazi Germany.

A large number of exhibitions about our defenders were prepared for the festival. We saw exhibits about the exploits of Soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War, an exhibition of Red Army uniforms from 1941-1945, including an exhibition dedicated to a special military operation and Hero of Russia, a native of the Pestrechinsky District, Ivan Alekseevich Dodosov.

On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, a memorial event was held in honor of all those who gave their lives for freedom and peace. At the end of the festival, an awards and gifts ceremony was also held.

Years pass, generations change, but what unites us all remains - the memory of the feat of those who defended our land in the most difficult years. The strength of their spirit, love for their homeland, their willingness to give the most precious thing for the sake of peace - an example for all of us. We must keep this memory in our hearts and pass it on so that no one ever forgets at what price peace was won.
