After the plenary session, the conference continued its work within the first session, devoted to the protection of the rights of socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The focus was on people with disabilities, the elderly, the homeless, orphans, people released from prison and other groups that need special attention from society and the state.
Both measures already being implemented and prospects for developing support were discussed. The discussion focused on the provision of technical rehabilitation tools, new approaches to the appointment of social assistance, the importance of psychiatric care, the experience of human rights support, as well as the role of universities in the formation of social responsibility among young people.
The practices of non-profit organizations, such as support for the homeless, supported living for people with mental disabilities, resource centers for prevention and assistance to children and families, were of particular interest.
At the end of the meeting, the guests were able to view photo exhibitions dedicated to the participants of the special military operation and their family members, as well as the 25th anniversary of the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan.
