Took part in a webinar for members of the Republican Parliament and their assistants, which was held in the State Council

Today I took part in a webinar for deputies of the republican parliament and their assistants, which was held in the State Council. The webinar discussed issues of providing social support measures to various categories of citizens.

In my speech, I noted that one of the key areas of activity of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan is ensuring the rights of citizens to receive social support. We closely interact with the deputy corps, consider requests and look for possible solutions.

Each request is considered in detail, checked for legality and validity. Applicants are provided with consultations, and, if necessary, requests are sent to the relevant departments.

The topic of improving legislation was separately touched upon. In particular, the income threshold for receiving social support measures for labor veterans was discussed. According to the current legislation, such measures are only available to those whose average monthly income does not exceed 20,000 rubles. At the same time, the average pension in the republic already exceeds this amount, which limits access to support measures for citizens in need of social support. An example from other regions where the income threshold is indexed taking into account the inflation rate was given as a possible solution. Such an approach could contribute to a more equitable distribution of social support.
