Today, the Kazan International College of Service hosted a visiting meeting of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues and the Expert Council under the Committee.
Before the meeting, the deputies familiarized themselves with the educational conditions at the college, which turned 100 years old this year. They also inspected the educational and laboratory workshops, and talked to teachers and students.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the implementation of education development programs, including the federal project "Professionalism". The project is actively developing in the republic. Since 2022, the number of students studying under this program has increased almost 40 times.
Last year, 67 kindergartens were built in the republic, overhauled more than 180 educational facilities, and more than 620 orphans were provided with housing. The achievements of Tatarstan schoolchildren were separately noted. In 2024, there were 366 100-point results on the Unified State Exam and 244 prize winners and winners of Olympiads in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting participants discussed issues of teaching the Tatar language in the secondary vocational education system, supporting young specialists in the educational sphere, as well as the participation of enterprises in equipping educational institutions.
