Today, a meeting of the organizing committee for preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that May 9 is a great day for everyone, a symbol of national feat, fortitude and historical memory. He noted that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in the republic, and therefore preserving the heroic pages of history and targeted support for veterans are becoming even more important.
The meeting discussed the main areas of work: involving veterans in festive events, patriotic education of young people, preserving archival materials, working with military graves, and ensuring security in places of mass events. They emphasized the importance of perpetuating the memory of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.
Particular attention was paid to targeted support for veterans. "Our main task is to surround veterans with warmth, attention, and boundless care. “The work must be targeted,” noted Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan.
