Another Legal Aid Day for convicts was held in penal colony #2.
Together with representatives of the Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, medical and sanitary unit #16 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Bar Association of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal State Institution "Main Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise for the Republic of Tatarstan", the State Institution "Employment Center", the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as a notary, we consulted citizens on issues that were relevant to them.
The requests concerned the provision of housing to an individual from among orphans, obtaining and terminating citizenship, applying for forced labor, changing the disability group, obtaining a veteran of military operations certificate. All who applied were given explanations and recommendations on further actions.
After the reception was over, together with the head of the medical and sanitary unit No. 16 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the supervising prosecutor and a representative of the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, we also visited the hospital for convicts. We talked to patients, inspected the living conditions and the provision of medical care. No complaints were received about the conditions of detention and the quality of treatment.
