Today we held a round table dedicated to the implementation of activities in the field of probation. This topic is important for all of us, because we are talking about the fate of people who need help returning to normal life in society.
The Federal Law "On Probation in the Russian Federation" came into force in 2023, and since then active work has been underway in Tatarstan to implement it. Currently, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan have concluded an agreement on cooperation in various areas, including the organization and functioning of probation in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Probation centers have begun to open in the republic: they are created on the basis of charitable and public structures, such as the Resocialization Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Yardam - Help Fund, and the Ihlas Assistance Association.
Particular attention is paid to people suffering from drug addiction. I believe that effective work in the field of probation is impossible without the participation of the public in the form of commercial and non-commercial organizations, so it is necessary to develop a procedure and methods of supporting them. Our task is to combine efforts and make sure that a return to normal life becomes a real prospect for everyone who needs it.
