Monitoring dormitories of Kazan universities
The institution of Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to youth in its work. The main areas of our work are legal education, provision of free legal assistance, development of their competencies, implementation of joint projects and consideration of appeals of young people on issues of concern to them.
In July 2023, the Commissioner analyzed information on social networks for living conditions in student hostels, some of them revealed observations. Today we visited the student dormitory of the Kazan State Architectural and Construction University and got acquainted with the living conditions of students who are now in preparation.
In general, the comments that were indicated in the comments of various social networks were confirmed and we will prepare recommendations to eliminate violations for the university management. In the near future, the Commissioner plans to monitor all hostels of the city and the republic.
