From August 15, 2023 the new Standard for Medical Assistance to Adults in the Event of Fresh Knee Meniscus Injury is introduced.
The standard approved by the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation of 29.06.2023 331 will be applied both in primary health care and in the provision of specialized medical care. A noticeable change in the Standard is the possibility to be treated in a hospital ward, with daily medical examination by a trauma orthopaedic doctor with supervision and care of nurses and nurses.
Another change concerns the form of medical care. The new Standard is applied to the planned provision of medical care, i.e. diseases and conditions that do not involve a threat to the life of the patient, do not require emergency and emergency medical care, and the postponement of which, for a certain period of time, will not cause the patient to deteriorate, endanger his life and health. Extended the list of research methods: for diagnosis, the doctor will prescribe X-rays, ultrasounds and MRI of the knee joint. As a non-pharmacological method of prevention, treatment and medical rehabilitation will be used only therapeutic exercise for diseases and injuries of the joints.
