Round table on the eve of World Safety Day
Despite the wide range of actors called upon to protect citizens' labour rights, the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan also pays close attention to the protection of human rights in the field of labour relations.
Issues in the field of labour relations and, in particular, labour protection are traditionally covered in the annual reports of the Ombudsman in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today, on behalf of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, Elena Stepanova, an employee of the Apparatus of Stepanova, took part in the next round table, which is traditionally held by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan on the eve of the World Day of Labor Protection, was marked as «Safety of human labor - our goal» in the Great Hall of the Kazan Palace of Labor.
The event was attended by heads, as well as representatives of interested ministries and departments.
World Labour Day is dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of Workers Killed and Injured at Work. The International Labour Organization first celebrated the day in 2003.
Within the framework of the round table, changes in legislation in the field of labour protection and statistical data of the supervisory bodies were noted.
Issues on the state of industrial accidents at enterprises registered in the Republic of Tatarstan and proposals to improve mechanisms for the implementation of a number of measures and preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of industrial accidents were discussed.4416:43
