Today there was a joint reception of citizens of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya with the Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Nafikov. During the reception, for several hours, 34 people were received.
The palette of questions was varied. These included issues of unscrupulous management companies, the illegal seizure of land, the lack of places in kindergartens and schools in the districts, the deplorable state of roads, refusal to initiate criminal proceedings on various issues.
There were stories, too, after which we couldn't help but feel with the complainants their pain, resentment, and often fatigue in fighting for their rights. The complainant, a cancer patient, has been unable to get the truth and return her illegally taken plot of land for years.
All the problems and questions voiced were taken up by both the Prosecutor of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ombudsman.
