Today an employee of the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan took part in a solemn event dedicated to the decade of «silver» volunteering in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Twice a year - in the spring and in the autumn - we visit the military units in which our Tatarstan children serve. This year for the children is the time of their formation as men, Defenders of the Fatherland. Of course, we understand that this year is not easy: new conditions, radically different from the civilian, commanders, colleagues.

The issue of protection of water bodies is among the topical environmental problems, which are noted by residents of Tatarstan. So only in GIS RT «People’s control» this year in the category «Water» 113 notifications were published.

Within the framework of the cooperation provided for in the Memorandum of Understanding between UNHCR in Russia and the Ombudsman in the Russian Federation, a seminar was organized in Nizhny Novgorod on 4 July «Activities of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, principles and standards of work with refugees and displaced persons».

The Commissioner received an appeal from a citizen of Sh., living in the village. Britvino of the Zelenodolsky district, with a complaint about the actions of the regional operator for the export of PKK UK «PVKH». Citizen S. complained that the invoice was issued for virtually unproven services - in one of the time segments of the garbage was not taken out.

Today at the central railway station there was a dispatch of military personnel. The children will fulfill their constitutional duty by performing military service in units stationed in Chita, Ussuriysk, Ulan-Ude. Along the way, the team will be accompanied by the public assistant of the Human Rights Commissioner in Tatarstan Rafis Gazizov. If the boys have any questions, they can turn to him for help. 

Today, July 2, solemn farewells of conscripts going to service in the Eastern Military District as part of the military echelon, which decreases from Kazan tomorrow, were held at the National Guard of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today Public Assistant of the Human Rights Commissioner Gulia Balafendiyeva held the final reception of refugees and IDPs within the project «Here are waiting» ABNO «New Century», implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.  

The project «Here are waiting» has finished its work, implemented with the funds of the Presidential Grants Fund and with the support of the Ombudsman in the Republic of Tatarstan.

At present, older persons, pensioners and veterans are the most vulnerable social groups. At the same time, this category has a special status, determined by the merits to the Fatherland. Their support is the unconditional duty of the state.
