March 03, 2023 marks the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of the institution of Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ombudsman, the staff of the Office, and public assistants stand guard for the protection of the rights and freedoms of the citizens of our republic. Of course, without the assistance of our colleagues we would not be able to organize our activities so effectively.

Fruitful cooperation with various organizations is one of the most effective forms that contribute to the realization of our activities. Today we signed a cooperation agreement with «Ioann’s Kronshtadtsky labor house», an autonomous nonprofit organization to provide social assistance to the needy.

Held a meeting of the Project Office of the Region Management Center in the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of the heads of executive committees. Technical Rehabilitation Devices (RTDs) make everyday life easier for people with disabilities. This specialized equipment allows people to feel more independent, confident and mobile. Persons with disabilities are provided with technical rehabilitation devices in accordance with the recommendations of the individual rehabilitation/ habilitation program (IPRA), which is developed by the medical and social expert assessment (MSE)

Every Monday, Gulia Balafendieva, Public Assistant to the Ombudsman, holds a reception for citizens on migration issues. Migration, with its complex interaction of many social, economic and political factors and its consequences, is a high priority on both the national and international agendas.

Every educational institution should create comfortable conditions for the educational process. In order to prevent violations of children's rights, we conduct regular monitoring both by conducting inspections in educational institutions and by daily moderation of incoming notifications of citizens to the SIS RT «Public control» in the appropriate categories.

After a long time, the project was revived, carried out by us together with the Tatarstan branch of the Union of Pensioners of Russia. Legal Aid Day is aimed at providing free legal assistance to the population of the republic. A citizen can apply with absolutely any question.

A vivid example of responding to citizens' appeals to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan is holding workshops to clarify all the circumstances that gave rise to the current situation.
