Technical Rehabilitation Devices (RTDs) make everyday life easier for people with disabilities. This specialized equipment allows people to feel more independent, confident and mobile. Persons with disabilities are provided with technical rehabilitation devices in accordance with the recommendations of the individual rehabilitation/ habilitation program (IPRA), which is developed by the medical and social expert assessment (MSE)
Such appeals are always under the Ombudsman's special control. For example, I received a request from citizen M., a wheelchair user of the first group, a resident of the Nurlat municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, for assistance in providing technical means of rehabilitation (an electric wheelchair).
Having studied all the circumstances of this appeal, we immediately sent a letter to the Manager of the Department of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan (now the Department of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation in RT) to take measures to provide the applicant with the necessary TRS
We were heard and the issue of providing an electric wheelchair was resolved. Just yesterday the author expressed her gratitude to us, leaving a positive comment in our social networks: " Бик зур рәхмәт!
