Today I also visited another military unit of the Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade in the Ulyanovsk Region, where young men from the Republic of Tatarstan are serving.

This unit is home to 13 young men from our republic. Eleven of them recently began their military service, and two more will complete theirs in just three months.

I familiarized myself with the conditions of service. I inspected the barracks, mess hall, gym, and recreation room. I was pleased to note that the young men have been provided with modern and comfortable conditions. The unit has a crew quarters system, meaning soldiers live four to a room, each equipped with its own shower and drying room for clothes and shoes.

The young men speak highly of their service, are provided with everything they need, and fulfill their military duty with dignity. There have been no complaints about the conditions of service.

I was impressed by the commander's attitude toward the young men—truly fatherly and considerate. They strive to create the most comfortable conditions for the soldiers here. They have the opportunity to shower daily, regularly communicate with family and friends, and receive nutritious, high-quality meals.

We even had lunch together in the soldiers' mess hall. We were pleasantly surprised by the varied menu: we tried cabbage soup, mashed potatoes, salads, and boiled chicken. Filling and delicious! The boys loved it! There was also buckwheat porridge, cutlets, fresh vegetables and vermicelli soup, pea puree, and pickles.

The memorial corner in the military unit dedicated to the Heroes of Russia – graduates who died during a special military operation – made a special impression. The unit also has a museum dedicated to the military history since 1944. It is very important today to preserve the memory of the heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland and remind the younger generation of the value of courage, loyalty to duty, and love for the Motherland.

We also laid flowers at the monument to the soldiers who died in the line of duty and honored their memory.

Of course, we couldn't do without our good tradition! We gave the children gifts from Tatarstan. We really want them to feel a little bit of home and know that their native land is proud of them, remembers them, and always welcomes their return.
