We helped restore the right to obtain a passport for a resident of the Donetsk People's Republic
A resident of Naberezhnye Chelny, citizen I., contacted me on behalf of her 85-year-old father, who had arrived from the city of Slavyansk in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The applicant reported that the elderly man, who had suffered a heart attack and was in serious condition, had encountered difficulties completing the necessary procedures to obtain a Russian passport. Furthermore, the lack of a Russian passport prevented him from receiving full and timely medical care.
To protect the citizen's rights, I immediately contacted the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, asking them to verify the arguments presented in the appeal and provide the necessary assistance.
Thanks to our joint efforts, the matter was resolved favorably. Considering the applicant's father's advanced age and health, the Migration Department staff arranged a home visit and handed him a Russian passport.
