Today, together with representatives from the UNHCR, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, and the regional branch of the Red Cross, we visited temporary accommodation centers for internally displaced persons.
The purpose of our visit was to personally assess living conditions, identify pressing issues, and provide necessary advisory assistance to those forced to flee their homes.
During the inspection, we looked at living quarters, dining areas, and children's areas. But the most important step was personally interacting with the residents. It's important for us not just to document the current situation, but to understand what concrete steps can help improve the lives of the displaced people "here and now."
The premises are prepared, the food is high-quality, and the staff welcomes guests with genuine hospitality. We are pleased that all residents have already received Russian citizenship. Now they can confidently make plans for the future with their new status.
We are doing everything possible to ensure that guests of the republic feel safe and comfortable. We wish everyone peace and tranquility!
