A meeting of the organizing committees was held at the Kazan Order of Zhukov Higher Tank Command School to summarize the 2025 Year of Defender of the Fatherland and discuss preparations for the 2026 Year of Military and Labor Valor.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva noted that events commemorating the Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory were fully implemented in 2025. More than 1,000 events of various scales were held across the republic, encompassing all municipalities and residents of all ages.
The in-person "Immortal Regiment" march, the "Dialogues with Heroes," "To Our Heroes," and "Weekend with a Veteran" projects, as well as the annual "March of Memory" campaign, which unites search teams and military-patriotic associations, received particular public recognition. A significant portion of the events were aimed at supporting participants in the special military operation and their families.
Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, emphasized the importance of continuing this systematic work as part of the Year of Military and Labor Valor and instructed that high-level events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory be organized, ensuring support and attention for every veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
