The final meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan at the Volga Region State University of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism. Tatarstan Minister Rustam Minnikhanov participated in the meeting. The meeting focused on the healthcare sector's performance in 2025 and the objectives for the current year.

Tatarstan Minister of Health Almir Abashev delivered the keynote address. He reported that more than 100 medical workers from Tatarstan are currently fulfilling their professional duties in the special military operation zone. Hospitals have been established in the republic to provide care to military personnel: over three years, more than 9,000 soldiers have been treated, most of whom have returned to duty.

2025 marks the first year of implementation of the second wave of the national projects "Long and Active Life" and "Family." Over the past year, Tatarstan has recorded more than 20 million outpatient visits, over 1 million hospitalizations, and approximately 30,000 cases of high-tech medical care. By the end of the year, mortality rates had returned to pre-COVID levels.

Special attention was paid to the development of healthcare infrastructure. In 2025, 207 facilities were renovated, 303 new medical facilities were commissioned, 190 vehicles and over 2,500 units of medical equipment were purchased, totaling 3.8 billion rubles.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of public feedback. He noted that the number of inquiries through the Gosuslugi "Solve together", SIS RT "Public Control", and Incident Management systems is growing, including regarding doctor appointments, the quality of medical services, and medication availability.
