On Vesti.FM radio, we summarized our work over the past year.

In 2025, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan celebrated its 25th anniversary. During this time, extensive and multifaceted work has been carried out to protect human rights and freedoms, foster a legal culture, and strengthen civil society institutions.

One of the key indicators of the Institute's relevance remains the number of citizen inquiries. In 2025, this number reached 8,401. Residents of the Republic most frequently raised issues related to the protection of the rights of military personnel and conscripts, housing and utilities, social security, the rights of convicts, and the right to housing.

We also discussed our work with military personnel and their families, as well as assistance to citizens in difficult life situations.

During the broadcast, we also touched on housing for orphans, support for the disabled, healthcare, and the operation of private nursing homes for the elderly. She also spoke about the preparation of a special report dedicated to the problems of homeless citizens and the activities of so-called “workhouses.”
