A meeting of the final board of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Archival Affairs was also held today, where the main results of the archival industry in 2025 and priority areas for further development were discussed.
Last year, 1,110 documents of significant historical value for studying the period of the Great Patriotic War were identified in the archival funds of the republic. The EAIS electronic archive system also stores digital copies of 275,000 similar cases, which provides access to materials for researchers and specialists.
In order to preserve the most in-demand documents, the republic's archives digitized 15,813 files in 2025, which amounts to more than 2.9 million electronic images. Copies of 465 thousand digitized cases are available in the EAIS system. In parallel, work was carried out on the formation of an insurance fund: an insurance fund for 709 units of storage and a use fund for 2106 units was created.
Special attention is paid to the development of archival infrastructure. In 2025, the Agryzsky and Zelenodolsk districts underwent major repairs to accommodate municipal and departmental archives in the amount of 50 million rubles.
During the board meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva stressed the need to strengthen efforts to preserve the personal archives of participants in the special military operation, noting the importance of forming a full-fledged documentary base about modern heroes.
