The final board meeting of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Volga Region University of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism. The meeting summarized the work for 2025 and outlined key objectives for the upcoming period.
Today, Tatarstan is home to over 1 million young people, representing 25.4% of the republic's population. Our region is participating in the national "Youth and Children" project and is involved in three federal projects, having met all 2025 targets. Particular attention is being paid to engaging young people in volunteer, patriotic, and professional activities.
In 2026, work will focus on digitalization of the industry, updating youth center formats, addressing housing issues for young professionals and families, and expanding grant support. An application campaign for regional grants totaling 50 million rubles has been launched for municipal youth policy institutions.
Patriotic education remains a priority. In 2025, more than 400 events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day were held, reaching a total of approximately 700,000 people.
Support for special military operation participants and their families continues. Since the beginning of the special military operation, youth organizations in the republic have sent over 20,000 tons of humanitarian aid. Eleven combat veterans have been employed by youth policy institutions, and participants in the "Batyrlar: Heroes of Tatarstan" program are completing internships at the ministry and its subordinate institutions.
