The final board meeting of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan.
Vladimir Leonov, Minister of Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered a report summing up the results of the 2025 sports year, assessing the development of the industry, and outlining key objectives for the coming period.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva highlighted the scale of work completed to develop sports infrastructure in the republic and noted the contribution of individual municipal districts. Among the priorities for the near future, she identified the major renovation of sports facilities, including them in the 2026 program, as well as increasing the involvement of schoolchildren and students in physical education and sports.
In 2025, 12.5 billion rubles were allocated for the construction and modernization of sports facilities in Tatarstan. The funds were used to build new sports complexes, renovate existing facilities, and expand access to sports for the population.
Support for sports infrastructure and the development of mass sports remain key areas of work in the republic.
