The procedure for entering and reflecting information on OKVED codes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs has changed.

The Federal Tax Service maintains the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIE), which contain, among other things, information on the OKVED codes of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Federal Law No. 529-FZ of December 28, 2024, established a new procedure for entering and reflecting information on OKVED codes in the USRLE and USRIE.

Previously, these registers reflected information on the OKVED codes indicated by business entities in their state registration applications.

Now, the USRLE and USRIE registers contain two types of OKVED codes: declarative and reporting.

Declarative codes: determined independently by businesses upon state registration.

Reporting codes: calculated by Rosstat based on statistical data, indicating percentages by type of activity.

Starting in 2026, Rosstat will annually transmit this information to the Federal Tax Service of Russia by April 10.

Any interested party can obtain electronic extracts from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIE), including information on OKVED codes without their percentages, on the Federal Tax Service website through the "Electronic Provision of Information from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE)/Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs" and "Transparent Business" services. Information on percentages of economic activities contained in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIE) is not publicly available.

Legal entities and sole proprietors can obtain electronic extracts from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) and the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (USRIE), including information on OKVED codes with their percentages, only for themselves, using the "State Online Business Registration" service.
