I received an appeal from a serviceman participating in a special military operation, citizen I., asking for assistance in terminating the contract and being discharged from military service for health reasons.
The applicant stated that in October 2023 he had signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and had been sent to serve in the military training area. He was seriously injured during combat missions, and was therefore sent to a military hospital for treatment. During the examination, citizen I. was diagnosed with a disease - chronic viral hepatitis C, which was confirmed by medical documents and the conclusion of the military medical commission, which recognized him as limited fit for military service. Despite this, the discharge report submitted to the military unit remained without consideration for a long time.
In order to protect the rights of the serviceman, I appealed to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with a request to consider the applicant's arguments and, if there are grounds, take appropriate measures.
Based on the results of the work carried out, the General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation issued an order for the dismissal of citizen I. from military service and enlistment in the reserve for health reasons.
Protecting the rights of participants in a special military operation and their family members remains an absolute priority for us!
