A Legal Knowledge School session for parents of children with disabilities was held on the topic of "Pension Legislation for People with Disabilities and Their Guardians".
Representatives of the Russian Social Fund for the Republic of Tatarstan explained the categories of citizens eligible for a social pension, the procedure for establishing and calculating it, and the specifics of processing payments for people with disabilities and their guardians.
Forty people attended the session. It is clear that the topic is of great interest to parents of children with disabilities and their guardians.
Following the session, the participants asked numerous questions about benefits for spa treatment, early retirement options, accrual of pension points, pension amounts upon reaching retirement age, how time spent on the labor exchange is included in work experience, how to correct incorrectly recorded work experience, benefits available to guardians of a disabled person, how to register for pre-retirement status, the impact of medals and awards on pension amounts, changes in benefits after a disabled child reaches 18, and whether a self-employed person can be the guardian of a disabled child.
