Today we visited the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in Naberezhnye Chelny
Leading consultant of the Department for Restoration of Citizens' Rights of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Khusaenov and our public assistant Gulia Balafendieva visited the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in Naberezhnye Chelny today.
Today, 147 foreign citizens are being held in the institution. We checked the conditions in five cells - two for women and three for men. No complaints were received during the conversation with the detainees.
We also held a citizen's reception, during which we listened to four applicants. Their questions mainly concerned appeals against court decisions on deportation. Everyone was given detailed explanations.
The conditions of detention in the Center meet the established requirements. There are comfortable conditions for walks, a separate area for children. For persons with diseases, there are isolation rooms and quarantine rooms.
