The appeal has been resolved positively!
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan received a collective appeal from residents of the village of Bolshaya Shilna, Tukaevsky District, about violations of environmental legislation in the territory of Tatarstan.
People reported that a ravine with natural springs was filled in and a forest area, which is used by villagers as a recreation area and a source of clean water, was cut down. Residents of the village report that the ravine is filled with soil and construction waste, trees have been destroyed and the spring has been blocked without the necessary permits. Despite repeated complaints through the SIS RT "Public Control" system, the problem continued to worsen.
We could not leave this situation without attention and contacted the Tatar Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office in order to protect the rights of the applicants. As a result of the inspection by the Volga Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office together with specialists from supervisory authorities, the fact of unauthorized waste disposal on lands, the state ownership of which is not delimited, was confirmed. In this regard, a representation was made to the management of the Executive Committee of the Tukaevsky Municipal District.
In addition, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan recorded the fact of the dump, and a warning was issued to the owner of the land plot. Now measures are being taken to calculate the damage to the soil and a claim for the elimination of violations is being prepared. The issue of including the spring in the State Water Register is also being worked out.
Thanks to our joint work, the situation is under control and the necessary measures have been taken. It is important that people's requests have not gone unnoticed.
