An unauthorized waste dump has been eliminated in Tatarstan following the intervention of the environmental prosecutor's office
The Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection of compliance with waste management legislation.
It was established that an unauthorized dump of construction, household, and biological waste, the volume of which exceeded 1.5 thousand cubic meters, was located on the territory of the Aldermysh rural settlement of the Vysokogorsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Contrary to the requirements of the law, the local government did not take timely measures to eliminate the garbage and protect land from pollution.
In order to eliminate violations of the law, the environmental prosecutor made a submission to the head of the Executive Committee of the Vysokogorsky municipal district.
Based on the results of the consideration of the prosecutor's response act, the unauthorized dump was liquidated, and the guilty municipal official was brought to disciplinary responsibility.
