A joint meeting of the Committee on Law and Order and the Expert Council under the Committee was held in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. One of the key topics was the provision of free legal aid to residents of the republic.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilya Gomzik, in 2024, 4,164 people received free legal aid, including 827 participants of the SVO and their family members. In the first quarter of 2025 - already 1,249 citizens, of which 532 were participants of the SVO.
Most often, low-income citizens, disabled people, families with disabled children, orphans, and participants of the SVO seek help. As part of the All-Russian Legal Aid Week in July 2024, 1,732 events were held in Tatarstan, covering more than 61 thousand people.
Free legal aid is also provided on online platforms. Thus, since 2023, more than 5 thousand requests have been registered on the VPRAVE.RF portal. Free legal assistance is also available in the mobile application "Resident Card of the Republic of Tatarstan" in the "Legal Assistance" section, and a special section with instructions for solving life issues has appeared in the application.
During the meeting, a candidate for the assignment of duties of a justice of the peace of judicial district No. 5 in the Almetyevsk district was also considered.
