Today I took part in the Russian culture festival "Karavon", which traditionally takes place in the village of Nikolskoye, Laishevsky district. This festival is a vivid example of a careful attitude to folk traditions and the cultural diversity of our republic.
Thematic areas were deployed at the festival: old Russian outdoor and board games, craft workshops and a colorful Russian farmstead. Within the framework of the "City of Craftsmen" area, a presentation of folk arts and crafts was held - weaving, pottery, wood carving, leatherwork. Masters of decorative and applied arts presented their skills.
The areas with traditional attractions - "Zakrutikha", "Kuznechny Dvor", as well as master classes in icon painting, bell ringing and forging of metal products made a special impression.
There were also numerous tents with dishes of Russian national cuisine in the open air, and folk songs performed by creative groups from Tatarstan and other regions of Russia were heard from the stage. It was very touching that the fighters participating in the special military operation also came to the holiday. They were met with special attention and gratitude.
The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov addressed the participants and guests of the holiday with warm words.
"Today, "Karavon" is a holiday of folklore, and a holiday of Slavic writing, and most importantly, a holiday of Russian culture. With the opening of "Karavon", we begin the holidays of the peoples of the Volga region. Next month there will be Sabantuy - this is Tatar culture. Then we have planned such events as holidays of the Mari, Chuvash, Udmurt cultures. We always celebrate and conduct all these holidays at a high level. This indicates that our republic, like our entire country, is multinational. “And it is important to treat the culture of any nation with respect and love, to carefully preserve the traditions that our nations have,” said Rustam Minnikhanov.
