Day of legal assistance for suspects, accused and convicted persons held in institutions of the penal system of the Republic of Tatarstan
Every person should have the opportunity to receive legal assistance, regardless of the circumstances.
Today, Legal Aid Day was held for suspects, accused and convicted persons held in institutions of the penal system of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held in the format of a video conference with the participation of representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Office of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the medical and sanitary unit No. 16 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
Citizens asked a variety of questions. Among them were the possibility of divorce through the court, registration of guardianship for close relatives, issues of medical care in places of deprivation of liberty. The conditions for concluding a contract for participation in the special military operation zone and the possibility of replacing the punishment with forced labor were also discussed. All those who applied were given explanations and recommendations on their situations.
The law must work for everyone - both at large and in places of deprivation of liberty. We will ensure that people's rights are respected and the issues they address are resolved.
