Visit to the Federal State Institution jail-1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan
Today I visited the Federal State Institution Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan to get acquainted with the conditions of detention.
Together with a representative of the Tatarstan Republic Prosecutor's Office, we visited the cells where suspects and accused of committing crimes are held. We paid special attention to our minor citizens, talked to them about their satisfaction with the conditions of detention, the conduct of the preliminary investigation, and other issues. We also inspected the classroom and the canteen. During the inspection, I did not receive any complaints about the conditions of detention.
After reviewing the conditions of detention, I held a personal meeting with 3 citizens on issues of concern to them. The requests were taken into consideration.
